off season opportunities

Westport Field Hockey's primary season is the FALL.  We are very fortunate to be in an area where there are many off season opportunities for players to gain additional experience and training at all levels throughout the year.

Many of our staff are involved in private clubs as well as continuing to play at the regional and national stage.

USA FIELD HOCKEY

The governing body and organization for field hockey in the United States.  Most players join USA Field Hockey to be apprised of field hockey events and activities across the country. Most private clubs are a part of the USA Field Hockey club system.

Players looking to participate in the National Development pipeline (Nexus) must join USA Field Hockey to be considered.

PRIVATE CLUBS 

There are several private clubs that offer programs throughout the year.  The major seasons for private clubs are the Winter (tryouts are usually right after the fall season) and Spring. Camps and Clinics are offered as well by many colleges and private clubs in the summer time.
